The World Draughts Team Championship is underway in Italy. The competition which started on September 17 will end on September 25. 18 teams from 17 countries are taking part in the event, with Italy presenting two teams. Two victories and one draw at the group stage permitted the Cameroonian team to move on in the competition. Cameroon is pooled in Group 1 alongside Russia, Ukraine, Czeck Republic. The performance of the Cameroon team so far is remarkable.
