African athletes swept the boards in the men's 5000m race as the IAAF Japan Grand Prix ended in Osaka late Saturday. Kenya's Abraham Chebii won the race in 13:21.45, followed by compatriot Luke Kipkosgei in 13:23.38 while Ethiopia's Gebre Gebremariam returned 13:23.57 to take the third position. Kenyan runners also took the top two positions in the women's5000m event, won by Leah Malot in 15:32.45, followed by Jane Wanjiku who returned 15:32.62 as Japan's Kague Ogoshi took the third spot in 15:33.85
